A Bit About Me

Hello, my name is Alexandra, and I’m passionate about helping you navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels genuine, supportive, and personally meaningful. My therapeutic approach is firmly grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based method for understanding and changing unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and a counselling-style conversation if you prefer, ensuring our work together is tailored to your unique perspective, pace, and goals. Whether that means developing practical coping strategies through CBT, connecting with your values through ACT, or fostering greater self-compassion with CFT, I believe therapy works best as a collaborative partnership—together, we’ll explore what matters to you, identify the changes you’d like to make, and chart a path forward that resonates with who you are.

My Background and Perspective

My professional journey includes completing placements where I supported individuals facing anxiety, low mood, trauma, OCD, and many other presentations, as well as working as a nursing assistant in NHS psychiatric wards, giving me firsthand insight into the realities of mental health care. This clinical experience has enriched my understanding of the diverse challenges people encounter. In addition, my business background allows me to appreciate the pressures professionals and entrepreneurs often face, informing my approach to help you build resilience, manage stress, and find greater balance. Through blending evidence-based therapy with empathy, practical tools, and an understanding of the modern world, I aim to help you cultivate well-being, clarity, and enduring personal growth.
